Hair Wars - Issue 01
An homage to the monthly feature from Japanese street-style bible Kerouac, Hair Wars documents the dyes, spikes, bangs and cuts on the streets of a post-pandemic London in all their glory.
Shot by William E. Wright (of the newly launched zine Street Flash), the project frames experimental hair as a DIY antidote to the more recent 'gatekept' fashion movements, something that can be 'as democratic as a pack of box dye, a pair of hair clippers and a willingness to get creative.
Creative direction and photography: William E. Wright
Design and layout: Dylan Nguyen
44 pgs, 21 × 14.8 cm, Softcover, 2023,
